LONGING FOR HOME

I'm longing to go home again
Where the water meets the sky,
Where each foaming wave crashes on the shore
As sunrise fills the eye.

I'm longing to go home again
To the place the tall pines grow,
Where the morning mist hangs upon the hill
And the dew-filled grasses glow.

I'm longing to go home again
To watch the sea birds soar,
Where fresh, brisk winds spew the sea 's white foam
As you walk the sandy shore.

I'm longing to go home again
I've been away too long...
When the sand, the pines, and the water call, I'll return to hear their song.
