Holistic Image

As I look beneath your carapace
I see a young boy in his prime
Emblazoned on your weathered face.

Youthful hair will now enchase
Rich ebony upon dull rime
As I look beneath your carapace.

In loving thoughts we kept a trace
Of vibrant love frozen in time
Emblazoned on your weathered face.

Melted hue upon your base
Wash away the gray and grime
As I look beneath your carapace.

Youth and age now come apace
To form a timeless paradigm
Emblazoned on your weathered face.

Then with this special added grace
Your portrait reaches the sublime
As I look beneath your carapace
Emblazoned on your weathered face.
